Summerland NeighbourLink events planned

NeighbourLink Summerland will hold a number of special events at the end of April and beginning of May as the service organization celebrates 13 years in the community.

A dinner and auction fundraiser will be held at the Summerland Yacht Club on May 1, with reception at 5:30 and dinner at 6 p.m. Tickets are available at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, Maple Roch and the Summerland Yacht Club, as well as from the NeighbourLink office at 250-404-4673 or by calling 250-462-4790.

A fundraising event will be held at Back Door Winery, 9752 Jones Flat Rd. on May 5, from 4 to 7 p.m. This event includes complimentary wine tasting, appetizers, entertainments and more. Tax receipts will be issued for all donations.

Hope Road Choir and the Christian Men’s Choir will hold a concert on May 7 at Centre Stage Theatre. Proceeds will go to the Summerland Food Bank and Resource Centre and NeighbourLink.

The NeighbourLink Soup Social will be held May 10 at the Seniors’ Drop-in Centre on Brown Street.

A Thank You Jazz Mix’r for volunteers and supports will be held at Summerland Seniors Village on May 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. Music will feature the jazz quartet of Debi Johnson, Larry Crawford, Al Crossley and Stephen Bienz.
