After the success of a recent storytelling event at the Summerland Arts Centre, a new evening of Stories, Poetry and Pie is set to take place at the Arts Centre on Saturday, May 6.
A collection of poets and storytellers from around the Okanagan will take to the mic to wow and entertain audience members with their literary prowess and raw stage presence.
“There is something enchanting about letting yourself be swept along with a well-told story,” said Sophia Jackson, one of the event organizers. “And who doesn’t love a bit of pie?”
The cost is $5 at the door and the funds will go towards helping to complete the purchase of a new microphone and speaker for the Summerland Arts Centre.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the event will start at 7 p.m.
