The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen is recognizing its volunteers during National Volunteer Week.

The week is held from April 14 to 20 and the regional district says many volunteers contribute their time, skills and enthusiasm in many areas.

“The RDOS recognizes the invaluable contributions of Emergency Support Services volunteers who provide critical assistance during emergencies and the volunteers who support the RDOS fire departments,” said Mark Pendergraft, chair of the regional district board. “Your generosity, kindness, and commitment to your community is appreciated.”

The regional district offers many volunteer opportunities, including community champions who help share accurate and timely regional district information through their communities.

Volunteering opportunities within the regional district can be found online at rdos.bc.ca/newsandevents/volunteer/.
