Summerland Seedy Saturday will be held on Saturday, March 25 at the Summerland Ornamental Gardens.
This event features a number of organic seed growers, bedding plants and farmers market vendors of local produce and agricultural products. It is a fundraiser for the gardens.
There will be a seed swap table with free seeds, and attendees are encouraged to bring seeds to give away.
Master gardeners will be available to answer gardening questions and problems.
Friends of the Gardens will host five workshops, aimed at beginning and novice gardeners.
Waterwise gardening, grooming and cleaning grasses, composting, butterfly gardens, and planting early vegetables will all be demonstrated.
There will be compost and rare drought tolerant trees and a fine selection of canna lily bulbs will also be on sale.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
